Never have I ever spent so much time in planes in my life. My luggage may also happen to be somewhere between Amsterdam and Cape Town, along with about 6 others' (of 20 of us) and a bunch of others on the plane in general (including my buddy Ken, who was travelling from TechSoft or something like that with 5 others from his Boston-based company, and who was having similar kiosk troubles as I upon check-in in Logan). That's actually a good thing, because it hints that the airline lost it and not that someone stole it. I'm looking forward to making sure that I'm reimbursed €100 per bag for my troubles, and that they throw some miles for free on my account. If this is the worst thing that happens to me in Africa, then I have nothing about which to complain. The ironic part was that I pointed out, when I was checking my bags (1 of which is filled with towels and linens for the orphanage), that the black one is the important one, so if they're going to lose my luggage, please lose the orange bag. I have the orange bag.
In other news, I've already gotten to speak in clicks, repeating one of our TSiBA counterpart's names to her, so that's automatically awesome. We're also foraging forth for pizza (with cheese!) and beer at this late/early hour here before forcing our bodies to adjust to the +6 hour time difference and rise for meeting at 0900.
In these same clothes. Bah. At least I look cute.
